We developed an innovative hospital data collection platform with a structural reporting interface for radiology reporting, the iSORT, which has entered the market recently at several public clinics and private imaging centers in Europe. With the use of iSORT radiologists receive an easy-to-use platform for reporting which guides through the reporting process, and patients and clinicians receive an easy-to-comprehend, standard quality report. The detailed database created by iSORT can be further utilized for quality management and scientific research purposes.

In iSORT clinical findings are reported with the help of structured forms based on current guidelines.
While radiologists receive an easy-to-use platform for reporting, patients and clinicians receive easy-to-comprehend standard quality reports. The detailed database could be further used for quality, cost-effectiveness and management purposes, while researchers gain a scientific database that contains imaging findings.

Comprehensive risk prediction tool for recurrent myocardial infarction
We are developing, implementing and validating a multi-dimensional risk prediction tool to identify patients who are at increased risk to suffer a second myocardial infarction. Our expertise lies in cardiovascular imaging and epidemiology. Considering the wide range of methodologies employed to identify the vulnerable patient a great emphasis will be taken to model the propensity of individual plaque to cause acute coronary event. Computation of vulnerability score clearly depends on multiple data and combination of multiple criteria, therefore experts in applied mathematics are essential. Experts in computational fluid dynamics are needed to cover wide aspects of hemodynamic simulations and to ensure transdisciplinary approaches.
