DescriptionThe Innovation Agency is one of 15 Academic Health Science Networks established by the NHS in England and covers a population of 4 million residents in Cheshire, Merseyside, South Cumbria and Lancashire.
The Networks are a product of the Government"s Innovation, Health and Wealth strategy. Their primary role is to form a network of NHS organisations, universities and businesses and achieve measurable results in the following key delivery areas:-
To identify and address unmet need/ priority improvement areas
To speed up the adoption of innovation
To identify and enable research
To create wealth
